Fidget toys are sensory tools that are proven to sharpen focus and reduce stress and anxiety for everyone, especially those with Autism and ADHD
Although fidget tools may not seem like an object that would sharpen focus, science actually proves that it does. In the “Fidgets: What are they and how can they help?” a study conducted by the Friendship Circle, showed that children in a sixth grade writing class increased their average writing scores to 83% from 73%, with the incorporation of stress balls. This study also revealed that a student in the class who had a medical diagnosis of ADHD, showed the most progress with an increase of 27% on a writing sample. Like his younger brother Joel, 60% of children with Autism are also diagnosed with ADHD. When Jose came across this information, he knew that fidget toys would positively impact Joel’s concentration.
